Our Story
BUILDING WITH PURPOSE
We started Bly Contracting because too many construction projects go over budget, miss deadlines, or leave clients chasing their contractor for answers. We do things differently. From our base at Nup End Business Centre in Old Knebworth, we deliver commercial, agricultural, and steel frame construction across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.
Every project is managed by one point of contact from initial consultation through to final handover. That means your project manager coordinates directly with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors — keeping your build on programme, within budget, and free from the communication breakdowns that plague most construction jobs.
We specialise in three areas where our knowledge runs deepest: large-scale commercial warehouses and industrial units, purpose-built agricultural buildings and farm infrastructure, and precision-engineered steel frame structures including portal frames and mezzanine floors. That focus means fewer mistakes, faster builds, and buildings engineered to perform for decades.
Every material is specified for the job, not the margin. Every subcontractor is vetted and managed on-site — not left to run unsupervised. We maintain strict health and safety standards on every site and run quality checks at each stage of the build. That is what quality actually looks like on a construction site.
